Three Wise Men

Today January the 6th we celebrate in Mexico Los Tres Reyes Magos. There are many versions of this story. The one that I know is that the wise men came late to the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. They brought him gifts. Nowadays The children write letters to them asking for gifts and they put the letter on their shoe the following morning the children find out the gifts. That same day on the afternoon we cut a sort of cake  that we call The Rosca de Reyes

Inside the cake came a little dolls, the person who finds the dolls has to bring something on February the 2nd for the Dia de la Candelaria. This tradition is the only one that t have taugh to my children's hon were born here in NY, they might never will experience the same way I experience when I was a kid. I will tell you about the day of the Candelaria another day!!
